Pradeep Radhakrishnan is an Associate Professor of Teaching in the Mechanical & Materials Engineering Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), affiliated with Robotics Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering departments. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin (2014), an M.S.E. from the same institution (2010), and a B.E. from PSG College of Technology, India (2006).
His teaching focuses on courses such as Modeling and Analysis of Mechatronic Systems, Advanced Engineering Design, and Kinematics of Mechanisms. His research emphasizes automated design tools, mechatronic systems, and education-related innovations, including the development of the Planar Mechanism Kinematic Simulator (PMKS). He has received notable awards including the Russell M. Searle Instructorship (2019) and Provost MQP Award (2019). His work bridges engineering fundamentals with modern manufacturing techniques, emphasizing low-cost, accessible solutions for educational and industrial applications.
