Dr Poppy O. Smith is a Research Fellow in the School of Engineering and Materials Science at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), affiliated with the Iskratsch Lab. Her expertise spans cell and tissue engineering, endothelial cell biology, angiogenesis, and mechanotransduction in cardiac disease.

Research Interests: Poppy investigates mechanotransduction mechanisms in cardiac disease, leveraging engineered nerve tissue and hiPSC-derived endothelial cells. Her work bridges tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and vascular biology, with applications in peripheral nerve repair and angiogenesis models.
