Piya Chatterjee is Professor of Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Dorothy Cruickshank Backstrand Chair at Scripps College. Her work bridges anthropology, transnational feminism, and postcolonial critique.

Research Focus spans British colonialism's legacies, women in the global South, intersectional U.S. women of color feminisms, and feminist pedagogy. She examines labor systems, gendered violence, and academic institutional critique.
