Piotr Kaczmarek

Dr. Eng. Piotr Kaczmarek is an Adjunct Professor at Gdańsk University of Technology's Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Informatics (WETI), where he serves as Vice-Dean for Education (since 2024), Deputy Head of the Department of Signals and Systems (since 2023), and Dean's Representative for Energy Efficiency and Internships in Automation, Cybernetics, and Robotics. His academic career includes roles as Assistant Professor (2007–2008) and Adjunct Professor (since 2008).

• European Master's in Control and Management of Lean Manufacturing (2000)

Research Interests: Focuses on adaptive control, identification of non-stationary processes, and energy-efficient building automation. Key areas include time-varying systems identification, signal processing algorithms, and optimization techniques for heating systems. Active in developing control strategies for condensing boilers and energy-efficient automation.

Publications: Recent work includes advancements in Savitzky-Golay filter applications, fast time-varying communication channel identification, and noncausal system identification methods. His research bridges theoretical signal processing with practical energy-saving solutions for buildings.

Labs/Teams: Leads research in the Department of Signals and Systems, collaborating on projects involving adaptive notch filters, system identification, and remote education tools.
