Piotr Florczyk

Piotr Florczyk is an Assistant Professor of Global Literary Studies at the University of Washington, Seattle, and a renowned poet, scholar, critic, and translator of Polish poetry. His work bridges Polish and American literary traditions, emphasizing transnational dialogues and Holocaust testimonies in his writings and translations.

His translated works include Anna Świrszczyńska's Building the Barricade, Julian Kornhauser's I'm Half of Your Heart, and Jacek Gutorow's The Folding Star, which have earned multiple awards including the Found in Translation Award and Harold Morton Landon Translation Award in 2017.
