Piotr Chabiera is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Historical Sciences, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. His research focuses on arts and crafts from the 19th and 20th centuries, appraisal in artistic craftsmanship, and the historical and legal aspects of art export from Poland to international markets. He is also deeply engaged in studying oriental and Far-Eastern art within Polish and European collections, including chinoiserie and japonaiserie influences in decorative arts.
