Pinki Mondal is an Associate Professor and Associate Director of the Masters in Data Science program at the University of Delaware, affiliated with the College of Earth, Ocean & Environment and the Data Science Institute. She holds appointments in the Departments of Geography & Spatial Sciences and Plant and Soil Sciences.

Dr. Mondal’s research focuses on geospatial data science, using remote sensing and GIS to analyze environmental issues such as climate change impacts on agriculture, crop responses to weather variability, vegetation trends, and urban sustainability in Asia, Africa, and the USA. She leads the EASEL Lab, which emphasizes food security, ecosystem monitoring, and sustainable livelihoods.
