Pingan Song

Dr. Pingan Song is a Full Professor and ARC Future Fellow (FT2) at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), specializing in High-Performance Polymers and Fire Retardants. He leads research in fire-retardant materials, polymer composites, and their applications in electronics, energy, transport, and construction. Song holds a PhD in Chemistry from Zhejiang University (2009) and has held academic roles at Zhejiang A&F University before joining UniSQ in 2016. He has secured over AU$11 million in grants, including ARC Fellowships and industry collaborations, and authored 230+ peer-reviewed publications with an H-index of 72. His work has been highlighted in Science, ACS Nano, and Advanced Materials, and he serves on editorial boards for journals like Sustainable Materials and Technologies. His research integrates green chemistry, material design, and environmental sustainability.
