About
Ping Chen is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Chemical Engineering, The University of Queensland. Her research focuses on catalysis, materials engineering, and sustainable energy technologies, particularly in hydrogen storage and CO2 reduction. She is affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology and is currently available for supervision.
Her recent publications highlight her work in catalytic hydrogenation, photoelectrocatalytic methane oxidation, and Cu-based electrocatalysts for CO2 conversion. These studies intersect with sustainable energy and environmental engineering, emphasizing the development of defect-engineered materials and bimetallic catalysts.
Current funding includes a 2024–2029 ARC Research Hub grant for underutilised carbon waste processing. She collaborates with researchers such as Dr Muxina Konarova and Professor Yusuke Yamauchi on projects related to lignin valorisation and Ru-based catalysts for hydrogen storage.
