Pieter Omlo

Pieter Omlo is a Lecturer-researcher at Hanze University of Applied Sciences, affiliated with the Research Centre for Built Environment – NoorderRuimte. He coordinates Year 1 of the Innovation Studio in the Built Environment bachelor's program and teaches in the Hanzepro curriculum. His research focuses on circular design, biobased materials, carbon-based design, and climate-adaptive/nature-inclusive construction solutions.

Research Focus: Sustainability in built environments, integrating circular economy principles and biomaterials into architectural practices. Collaborations include national and international projects addressing climate resilience and ecological design.
