Pierre-Luc Landry (he/they) is an Associate Professor in French and Francophone Studies at the School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures, University of Victoria. His work bridges literary, media, and cultural studies with a focus on Quebec, Canada, and the Francophone World. He is affiliated with the Media Studies and Cultural, Social, and Political Thought programs.
Education: PhD, MA, BA in research-creation from Université Laval; postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Ottawa. He also studied at University of Lorraine (France) and Oregon State University (USA).
Research Interests: Explores queer theory, Indigenous literature, settler colonialism, creative writing, research-creation, and media studies. His work often integrates political activism and critical cultural analysis across French-Canadian and Francophone contexts.
Publications: Known for works such as QuébeQueer (2020), La guerre est dans les mots et il faut les crier (2022), and Les corps extraterrestres (2015). His research-creation approach merges literary and media forms with critical theory.
