Dr. Pierre-Luc Emond is a Lecturer in Marketing at the University of York's School for Business and Society, joining in 2020. With 8 years of industry experience in luxury fashion at brands in London and Paris, he holds a PhD from Alliance Manchester Business School (University of Manchester), an MSc and BBA from HEC Montréal, and a PGCAP, making him a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). His research focuses on luxury fashion management, branding, and public relations, emphasizing cultural meanings and stakeholder influence. He employs qualitative methods like grounded theory and case studies, with a doctoral emphasis on PR's role in luxury brands' symbolic power.
