Prof. Pierre Cosson is a Professor and Group Leader at the Department of Cellular Physiology and Metabolism, University of Geneva. His research focuses on phagocytosis mechanisms and host-pathogen interactions, aiming to develop strategies against infectious and autoimmune diseases. The lab investigates three key areas: bacterial phagocytosis by cells, intracellular bacterial killing, and bacterial evasion strategies.
Media engagements include interviews on RTS (Swiss Radio and Television) such as a 2021 segment on animal experimentation in research and a 2017 discussion on his work.
