Pierre-Christian Fink

Pierre-Christian Fink is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Virginia, affiliated with the Department of Sociology and the Program in Global Commerce in Culture and Society. His research focuses on economic sociology and political economy, emphasizing historical methods to analyze how financial elites shape global markets. He holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University and was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Law School.

His work explores financial crises, including analyses of the 1974 crisis and the 2023 collapse of Silicon Valley Bank. His research has been funded by the Lyndon B.
