Pierluigi Pisu is Professor of Automotive Engineering at Clemson University with joint appointment in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He leads the Deep Orange 10 Project and researches fault diagnosis, hybrid vehicle energy management, and cyber-security for connected/automated systems.
Research develops theoretical frameworks and HIL validation for resilient vehicle control systems. Current projects focus on adversarial attack detection, secure localization, and cooperative vehicle coordination at intersections.
Publications demonstrate strong focus on vehicle control systems, battery integration, and cybersecurity. Recent work addresses weather-adaptive communication channels and microgrid optimization for military applications.
