Dr. Pia Pichler is a Senior Lecturer in Linguistics and Programme Convenor of the MA Sociocultural Linguistics at Goldsmiths, University of London. She holds a PhD from the University of Surrey, Roehampton (2003) and a Magistra from the University of Salzburg (1996). Her research explores discourse and intersectional identities, particularly focusing on gender, class, ethnicity, and race in youth speech. She has published extensively on topics such as hip hop culture, fatherhood discourses, and affectionate communication in multicultural couples.
