His research critically examines computational architecture and digital design methodologies, with emphasis on 3D printing applications in urban construction. Morel's work interrogates the linguistic and computational turns in architectural theory, as demonstrated by his 2007 exhibition "Architecture Beyond Forms: The Computational Turn" and 2017 co-edited book "Computational politics and architecture: From Digital Philosophy to the End of Work", which analyze digital philosophy's impact on architectural practice and socio-economic structures.
With over 35 published essays, Morel has lectured globally at Harvard GSD, ETH Zurich, Columbia GSAPP, MIT, and Centre Pompidou. His work features in FRAC Centre and Centre Pompidou permanent collections. As an educator, he previously headed the Digital Knowledge department at ENSA Paris-Malaquais and mentored students through studio teaching at the Berlage Institute and Architectural Association.
