Philippe Foray is a Professor of Education and Training Sciences at Jean Monnet University (Saint-Étienne). He holds a PhD in the history of modern and contemporary philosophy (1994) and an Habilitation to Direct Research (2007). His career includes teaching philosophy in high schools (1985–1988), roles at the IUFM of Saint-Étienne (1988–1993), and academic positions at Jean Monnet University since 1994. His research focuses on philosophy of education, civic education, and secular approaches to religious teaching.
