Philippa Crane is a Research Fellow in Medical Innovation at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) within the University of Sussex Business School. Her work focuses on biomedical innovation, particularly the dynamics between industry and academia. She holds a PhD from the University of Sussex (2017) examining the success and failure of UK rare cancer drug projects. Previously, she worked at the Royal Society, focusing on industry-academia interfaces.
