Philipp Haueis

Dr. Philipp Haueis serves as an interim professor at the Institute of Philosophy, Faculty of Humanities, Leibniz University Hannover for the academic year 2024/2025, while maintaining his position as assistant professor at Bielefeld University's philosophy department.

His research focuses on:

• Development, structure and evaluation of scientific concepts
• Exploratory experimentation methodologies
• Multiscale modeling approaches
• Science-society interactions, particularly in neuroscience and climate research contexts

Currently, Dr. Haueis is leading a book project examining norms of conceptual development, with particular attention to discursive impacts of word choice through analysis of strategic ambiguity and ontic risk at the science-policy interface as part of the SOCRATES research team.

His work bridges philosophical analysis with practical scientific applications where expert knowledge interfaces with public policy decisions.
