Philipp Gieg

Dr. Philipp Gieg serves as an Academic Councillor at the Institute of Political Science and Sociology within the Faculty of Human Sciences at Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg. He holds the Chair of International Relations and European Studies and maintains an active research profile in multiple areas of international relations and political science. His institutional affiliations include membership on the board of the India Centre of Excellence (ICCUW), the Forum Afrikazentrum, and the Thematic Consolidation Group 'The Challenge of Gender' of the ICAS:MP Centre of Advanced Studies.

Dr. Gieg's research interests span several interconnected fields including International Relations, European Studies, Gender Studies, African Politics, and EU-India Relations.
