Philip Matich

Philip Matich serves as an Instructional Associate Professor and Undergraduate Program Chair in the Department of Marine Biology at Texas A&M University at Galveston's College of Marine Sciences & Maritime Studies.

His research centers on the behavioral ecology of top predators, investigating foraging strategies, movement patterns, and ecological impacts of apex marine predators to advance conservation science and ecosystem management understanding.

As Undergraduate Program Chair, Dr. Matich oversees curriculum development and academic advising for Marine Biology students, with office hours held in the Ocean & Coastal Studies Building, Room 249.
