Prof. Philip Elsinga is a Professor in PET Radiochemistry at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Groningen (UMCG). He leads research in radiopharmaceutical development, molecular imaging, and theranostic applications. His expertise spans PET tracer design, bacterial infection imaging, and tumor microenvironment studies. He is Editor-in-Chief of EJNMMI Radiopharmacy and Chemistry and an expert advisor to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Recent grants include a €10.5M award for Terbium isotope production in cancer theranostics.
