Phil Choi

Associate Professor Phil Choi is an Honorary Associate Professor at the Australian National University (ANU) School of Medicine and Psychology and a Consultant Haematologist at Canberra Health Services. He serves as Clinical Director of the National Platelet Research and Referral Centre and contributes to editorial and committee work in thrombosis and hematology.

• Education: BA, BSc(Med), MBBS, PhD (University of New South Wales, focusing on immune-mediated platelet disorders like ITP and HIT)

Research Interests include immune-mediated platelet disorders, clinical immunosuppression strategies for ITP, and molecular mechanisms of heparin/PF4 antibodies. His work bridges clinical and basic research to differentiate pathogenic from non-pathogenic antibodies.
