Petter Lundborg

Petter Lundborg is Professor of Economics at Lund University (Sweden), research affiliate at IZA Bonn (Germany), and former faculty member at VU Amsterdam (Netherlands). In April 2024, he served as Visiting Researcher at CESifo. He earned his PhD from Lund University in 2003.

His research spans:

• Labor, health, and family economics
• Intergenerational transmission of human capital
• Educational/social interventions
• Gender disparities in labor markets
• Household finance and financial behavior transmission

Current projects focus on fertility economics using Danish IVF data to study long-term child penalties and gender earnings gaps.

Professor Lundborg received the Assar Lindbeck medal (2018), awarded biannually to top Swedish economists under 45 for internationally recognized work.
