Petronella Ahenda

Dr. Petronella Ahenda is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Texas A&M University School of Public Health. Her work focuses on global health, maternal and child health, and nutritional epidemiology.

• Education: DrPH in Health Promotion and Community Health Sciences (Texas A&M), MSc in Medical Microbiology (JKUAT), BSc in Biochemistry (University of Nairobi)

Research Interests include community-based interventions, public health strategies, and social determinants of health. Her published work spans topics such as vitamin A supplementation, diabetes screening, and infectious disease epidemiology in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia-Pacific regions.

Professional Memberships: American Public Health Association (APHA), American Academy of Health Behavior (AAHB), and American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH).
