Petra Robben serves as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Groningen, specializing in Dutch labor law and related legal frameworks. She holds both mr. (Master of Laws) and dr. (Doctor) academic titles.
Her research interests include:
- Labor Law and Employment Law
- Collective Bargaining Systems
- Contract Freedom in Labor Relations
- Regulation of Collective Labor Agreements
Dr. Robben has published research examining the enforcement mechanisms of collective labor agreements and their relationship with individual freedom of contract. Her two-part 2019 publication in TRA: Tijdschrift Recht en Arbeid represents significant contributions to understanding the tension between collective agreements and individual contractual autonomy within Dutch labor law.
She actively contributes to legal scholarship as an author for Wolters Kluwer's Arbeidsovereenkomst publication.
Dr. Robben teaches a comprehensive curriculum including Introduction to Social Law, European Labor Law, Collective Labor Law, Masterclass on Labor Law Procedures, and the Seminar on Business and Labor. She also provides supervision for master's theses in her specialized field.
