Prof. Petra Denig is a Professor of Drug Utilization Quality at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Medical Sciences, affiliated with the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). Her research focuses on optimizing medication use through deprescribing strategies, polypharmacy management, and improving prescribing quality for chronic conditions like diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. She leads the GIANTT project, tracking diabetes care outcomes in over 60,000 patients.
