Petra Anić is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Rijeka. She holds an MA in Psychology from Rijeka (2004) and PhD from the University of Ljubljana (2012). Her research examines connections between leisure activities, psychological well-being, and satisfaction judgments, with focus on how freely chosen activities influence affective experiences and basic psychological needs.
Anić investigates time-use patterns and motivation factors underlying activity choices, particularly in academic settings. Her longitudinal studies analyze both immediate and delayed impacts of learning-related activities on subjective well-being. Research methodologies include experience sampling and longitudinal designs tracking affective states and satisfaction judgments.
Honored with Croatia's National Award for Promotion of Science (2013), Anić has supervised five Master's students and currently mentors researchers studying ADHD impacts on aviation safety and hierarchical decision-making in volunteer organizations. She serves on editorial boards for leisure and well-being psychology journals.
