Petia Radeva

Prof. Petia Radeva is a Full Professor at the University of Barcelona (UB) and Head of the Consolidated Research Group 'Computer Vision and Machine Learning' (CVMLUB). She also serves as a Senior Researcher at the Computer Vision Center (CVC) and Research Manager for the State Agency of Research (AEI) in Spain.

Her research spans Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and their applications in Biomedical Engineering and e-Health, with a focus on solving real-world problems such as food intake monitoring for post-transplant patients and older adults. She has led 7 European, 3 international, and 25+ national projects.

She is an Associate Editor for Pattern Recognition (Q1) and International Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation (Q2), and a vice-chair of the REA-FET-OPEN program since 2015.
