Peter William Rae is a Studio Tutor at the School of Architecture, Royal College of Art, where he teaches ADS5 alongside Amin Taha and Jason Coe. He is also faculty at ESNE (Escuela Universitaria de Diseño, Innovación y Tecnología) in Madrid, Spain since 2021.
His research interests focus on architectural design, visualization and representation techniques, and the relationship between drawing process and spatial understanding. He has sustained interests in the process and representation of design and construction, specific building elements, and the parameters that shape our built environment. His professional practice with GROUPWORK has resulted in significant projects including the winning design for Sofia Metro Station 20 in Bulgaria.
Rae's publications demonstrate trends in architectural drawing as a design process and material studies in architecture. His work bridges theoretical exploration with practical application in architectural design, emphasizing the importance of visualization techniques in the architectural process.

His professional contributions have been published and exhibited widely, including at Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York and the PennDesign Gallery.
