Peter Watchorn

Peter Watchorn is a part-time faculty member at Boston College and affiliate lecturer at the Faculty of Divinity. An Australian-born harpsichordist with over 40 years of performance experience, he specializes in Baroque keyboard music and historical instrument construction.

His research focuses on J.S. Bach's harpsichord works and 17th-century composers, with recordings of complete Bach compositions. He co-founded the Musica Omnia label and the Boston Bach Ensemble for choral performances.

Watchorn teaches courses in music history including Introduction to Music, Baroque music, and specialized Bach studies. His scholarly work includes a biography of harpsichordist Isolde Ahlgrimm.
