Peter Tracey Connor

Peter Tracey Connor is a Professor of French at Barnard College, where he has taught since 1991. He also chairs Barnard's Comparative Literature and Translation Studies program.

Academic Focus: Twentieth-century French literature, Literary theory, Contemporary French philosophy, and Translation. His research explores intersections between philosophical and literary discourses in modern France.

Selected Publications: Connor has authored and translated works focusing on Georges Bataille and Jean-Luc Nancy. His publications examine themes of mysticism, eros, and the nature of community.
