Peter Shulman

Dr. Peter Shulman is the Elizabeth and Raymond Armington Associate Professor of History at Case Western Reserve University. His research examines 19th and 20th century American technology, science, and politics, with particular focus on energy history, environmental history, and the history of intelligence. He teaches courses on the history of technology, energy and environment, and historical methods.

His scholarly work investigates:

• Evolution of communication and transportation networks
• Intersections of technology and American foreign relations
• Early environmental policy formation
