Peter Reichardt is a Lecturer in the Department of Studio Art at the School of Design, South Dakota State University. He holds a BFA in Drawing from The Cleveland Institute of Art (2005) and an MFA in Printmaking from Washington State University (2007). His academic responsibilities include teaching courses such as Design I, Design II: Color, Drawing I, Figure Drawing, Painting, and Illustration. His research focuses on studio art practices, including drawing processes, collage, and printmaking.
Reichardt has exhibited widely, including in the South Dakota Governor’s Biennial Art Exhibitions and at venues like the South Dakota Art Museum and Washington Pavilion. He has received recognition such as the 2014 Curators Choice Award and the 2010 Austin Critics Table Award. He actively participates in professional organizations like Foundations in Art: Theory and Education (FATE) and has presented at national and regional conferences.
