Peter Reher

Professor Peter Reher is a German-Australian academic and specialist in Oral Surgery, affiliated with the University of Queensland's School of Dentistry and serving as Director of the Oral Health Alliance. He holds a Professorship in Oral Surgery and has held leadership roles, including Deputy Head of School and Clinical Director at Griffith University. His expertise spans oral surgery, implantology, trauma management, and craniofacial reconstruction. He completed his dentistry degree at PUC-Minas (Brazil), a Master’s in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and a PhD at University College London's Eastman Dental Institute. His research focuses on dental implants, bone regeneration, temporomandibular disorders, and surgical techniques. He has authored textbooks on dental anatomy and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. Awards include recognition from the Royal Society of Medicine and the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
