Peter Radermacher

Peter Radermacher is a distinguished German physician and researcher serving as Professor of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care and Director of the Institute for Anaesthesiological Pathophysiology and Process Development at Ulm University Medical School. His career spans over four decades with significant contributions to intensive care medicine, anaesthesiology, and diving and hyperbaric medicine.

Professor Radermacher's research focuses on the pathophysiology of sepsis, traumatic haemorrhagic shock, and the role of gaseous mediators in critical care settings. His work explores therapeutic interventions in septic shock, trauma, haemorrhage, and traumatic brain injury, with particular attention to the physiological impacts of hyperoxic ventilation.
