Peter Pagels

Peter Pagels is a Senior Lecturer at Linnaeus University's Department of Sport Science within the Faculty of Social Sciences. He holds a PhD in Medical Science in Public Health and teaches in programs including Sports Science, Physical Education Teacher Education, and Preschool Education. His research focuses on physical activity promotion, outdoor environment impacts on health, and sports medicine.

• Principal Investigator on the REI project studying relative energy deficiency in sports
• Managing the Sports Physiology Lab at Kalmar campus

Research interests include sustainable sports development, pediatric physical activity patterns, and UV exposure in school environments. He has published extensively on environmental influences on health behaviors and aging populations' physical training benefits.
