Dr. Peter O'Neill is a Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering, Graphics and Multimedia at Sheffield Hallam University's College of Business, Technology and Engineering. Following a 16-year career at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, his research focuses on Electronic Assistive Technology (EAT) for disabled and elderly populations.
His work examines alternative input methods for assistive devices and usage evaluation frameworks. Current collaborations involve the Materials and Engineering Research Institute for robotic applications and partnerships with Fountaindale School for severely disabled children.
