Peter Miller is a Visiting Assistant Professor of English and Humanities at Reed College, specializing in English-language poetry from Romanticism to the present. His research examines sound, rhythm, music, and media studies in poetic forms. He teaches Introduction to Poetry, Humanities, and a course on Remixing the Canon.
His forthcoming book 'Poetry, Sound, and the Matter of Prosody, 1800-2000' will be published by Oxford University Press. His current research explores contemporary anglophone poets who reinterpret canonical Western texts through global and postcolonial frameworks. Miller holds a B.A. in English and Cello Performance from Goshen College and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia.
