About
Peter Lind is an Assistant Professor at Stockholm University's Department of Swedish and Multilingualism, where he has worked since 2017. Holding a PhD in Rhetoric from Uppsala University (2014), his research focuses on rhetoric as an applied interdisciplinary tool, particularly in scientific communication and public presentation.
His scholarly work examines 18th century Swedish ceremonial language and its rhetorical functions in closed official contexts, with particular focus on how Bellman's Bacchi Orden parodied contemporary order society conventions while conveying deeper philosophical messages about contentment and friendship. He has published multiple chapters analyzing these themes, including contributions to the I Bacchi Wingård volumes and Bellman Society publications.
