Peter Kevern

Peter Kevern is Professor of Values and Social Care at Staffordshire University, where he serves as Associate Dean. His research examines intersections between dementia, aging, and spirituality, developing models for faith-based health initiatives and spiritual care.

With degrees in theology and religious studies, Kevern leads projects creating 'dementia-friendly' religious communities and analyzing how faith traditions support caregivers. Current collaborations include town planning for dementia-inclusive environments and studies with Pakistani Muslim communities in Stoke-on-Trent.

As Chair of the British Association for Spirituality Studies, he promotes interdisciplinary dialogue on wellbeing. Kevern supervises doctoral research on spiritual coping strategies and serves as trustee for Age Concern Birmingham.
