Peter Jirousek

Peter Jirousek has been a faculty member at VanderCook College of Music since 2009, specializing in Applied Horn instruction. He holds a Bachelor of Music Performance from the University of Illinois and a Master of Music Performance from Northwestern University. His teaching experience includes roles at Elmhurst College and Notre Dame University.

He maintains an active performance career, having served as principal horn in the South Bend Symphony (14 seasons), Chicago Chamber Orchestra (8 seasons), and second horn for the Northwest Indiana Symphony since 1990.
