Peter J. Stang is a Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Utah. His research focuses on organic chemistry and supramolecular chemistry, with particular emphasis on metallacycles and metallacages for biomedical and materials science applications. He has served as Department Chair (1989–1995) and is recognized as an Outstanding Teacher of the Year by chemistry students.
