Peter Hart

Dr. Peter Hart serves as Lecturer in Inclusion, Childhood and Youth at the School of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Leeds, where he joined in February 2016. He currently holds dual leadership roles as Director of Postgraduate Research Studies and Director of the Education, Childhood and Youth Pathway for the WRDTP.

His educational qualifications include:

• MA in Theology and Ministry
• BA in Community and Youth Work

Dr. Hart's research centers on youth wellbeing in disadvantaged communities through innovative methodologies. His primary focus areas feature prominently in current projects:

• Gaming Applications: Using board games for language comprehension development (Connecting and Comprehending Through Play) and safeguarding in gaming spaces
• Ethics Frameworks: Aristotelian virtue ethics via Narnian Virtues project and youth worker ethical practices
• Participatory Approaches: Active travel initiatives with young people and reading interventions (REACH Primary)

As Director of Postgraduate Research, he supervises multiple doctoral candidates while teaching BA/MA Childhood Studies modules on children's rights. His methodological expertise spans structural equation modelling and participatory research within the ICY: Inclusion, Childhood & Youth Research Centre.

Professional affiliations include the British Sociological Association, Association of Moral Education, and BERA, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to youth development challenges.
