Dr. Peter H. Gorman, MD, MS is Clinical Professor of Neurology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he also serves as Chief of the Division of Rehabilitation Medicine. He holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Physical Therapy and practices at the UM Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute.

His investigations range from multicenter randomized trials comparing aquatic and robotic therapy to pioneering studies on implanted neuroprostheses for hand grasp restoration in tetraplegia.

Clinical Practice: Dr. Gorman directs inpatient and outpatient spinal cord injury services, specializing in spasticity management via botulinum toxin and intrathecal baclofen pumps, and provides longitudinal care at UM Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute.
