Peter Gregory

Peter Gregory is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Global Development at Cornell University. He previously served as Director of the Hubert H. Humphrey Program, a U.S. State Department initiative managed by Cornell and 12 other institutions. His work focuses on developing leadership potential among international professionals in agriculture, environmental science, and natural resource management.

• Education: PhD in Plant Biochemistry (King's College, University of London), BSc (Honors) in Botany (King's College, University of London)

Research interests include global agricultural development strategies, biotechnology capacity building, and international development policy. Over 40 years, his career transitioned from plant biochemistry research to international development leadership roles.

Notable roles include Deputy Director General for Research at the International Potato Center in Peru, World Bank agricultural advisor, and leadership positions at Cornell's CALS. He retired in June 2022 after over two decades at Cornell.
