Dr. Peter Garik is a Clinical Associate Professor in Curriculum and Teaching at Boston University's Wheelock College of Education. His research focuses on improving science instruction through visualization of abstract scientific models.
Research interests include teaching quantum concepts in chemistry, engineering education, and using computer modeling in classrooms. Current projects investigate methods for teaching quantum mechanics in general chemistry and expert-novice understanding differences.
Publications reflect work on integrating history of science into physics courses and place-based environmental science for English learners.
Dr. Garik has contributed to teacher training programs and science museum exhibit development.
