Peter Fuleky is a Professor with joint appointments in the Department of Economics and the University of Hawaii Economic Research Organization (UHERO) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He serves as Co-Director of the Renewable Energy and Island Sustainability (REIS) Graduate Certificate Program and Senior Advisor to the Dean on Global College Initiatives. Dr. Fuleky earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Washington.
His research spans econometrics, time series analysis, forecasting, empirical macroeconomics, and tourism economics. He is a co-author of UHERO's quarterly forecast reports on the Hawaii economy and contributes to applied research for local decision-makers. His recent publications focus on environmental economics, tourism sustainability, and climate change impacts.
Dr. Fuleky teaches courses in Economic Forecasting, Econometrics, and Production/Utility Function analysis. He maintains active research collaborations and has published extensively on macroeconomic forecasting in the era of big data.
