Peter Fliecher

Peter Fliecher is a Professor at the Faculty of Music, Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna, where he has taught trumpet classes since 2014. As a professional trumpeter, he serves as deputy principal trumpet of the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and has held principal trumpet roles with prestigious ensembles including the Bavarian State Opera Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg.

Education:

• Master of Arts in Trumpet (Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, 2006)
• Study period at Mozarteum in Salzburg (2000–2001)

His research interests focus on music performance and brass instrument pedagogy, with practical contributions to orchestral studies and chamber music ensemble training. He actively participates in workshops at institutions like Vöcklabruck Trompetentage and Palmklang International Music Festival.

Scientific Awards:

Fliecher performs with ensembles such as Kontrapunkte, Klangforum Wien, and Mnozil Brass, while maintaining affiliations with the Bavarian State Opera Orchestra and ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. He also contributes to youth orchestras like Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra.
